A locksmith with a van, not a counter.

Lock and Key is a mobile locksmith based in Georgetown, Delaware. There is no shop, no waiting room and no address to drive to: the van carries the workshop and comes to wherever the lock is, across all fifty towns of Kent and Sussex County.

That covers three kinds of customer. Householders who are locked out, moving in, or replacing hardware that has stopped behaving — see residential work. Drivers who have lost a key or need one programmed at the roadside — automotive work. And businesses whose doors take a hundred openings a day — commercial work, from master key systems to panic bars.

The way a job runs does not change with the address. You tell us the town and what is locked; we bring what that job needs. Before a tool touches the lock you hear the options — open it, rekey it, repair it or replace it — and you choose. Afterwards every key is tried in every lock it should open, and the door is closed and reopened before we leave.

We answer the phone Sun–Thu 7:00am – 10:00pm, and on Friday 7:00am – 6:00pm. Saturday closed. Outside those hours you can still send the details and we will call back. Customers have rated us 5.0 across 70+ reviews on Google.
